The food & the wine!

Of course, for the opening event you're all asking 'what will you be serving to complement such beautiful artworks?'

We have many delicious tastes of the Barossa planned for you this year, including:

Artisans of Barossa - egg & bacon pies by renowned Barossa chef, Mark McNamara served with Sparkling (what better way to start the day?!)

Turkey Flat Vineyards - slow-braised pork belly brioche with kim chi slaw, served with the iconic 2013 Rosé

Peter Lehmann Wines - A delicious, warming & fragrant curry

Whistler Wines - the classic red food & wine match - selected cheeses with 2011 Hubert Irving Shiraz

Seppeltsfield Winery - from the home of fortified wines in the Barossa, Belgium chocolate pots with DP57 Grand Tokay.

A few tickets are still available - so if you haven't booked yet - get on it! Call Peter Lehmann Wines on 8565 9555

The 2013 trail

This year we will be beginning the Art & Wine Trail at Artisans of Barossa, featuring 'Romantic Reverie' by Lee Teusner. Lee's paintings explore a feminine world, the space of romantic reverie that gets forgotten in real life. Glimpses of a world she makes time to be beautiful.

Following Artisans we stop at Turkey Flat Vineyards, showcasing emerging printmaker & artist Loique Allain. Loique's work focuses on the notion of place and human connection to land. In creating her work she draws on her intuition, memory and observation.

Stop number 3 is Peter Lehmann Wines, with paintings and sculpture by SA Great-Arts Award winning artist, Rod Schubert.

Out of Tanunda we head to Whistler Wines, where the gardens are adorned by Roland Weight's steel assemblage sculptures. They can be viewed as three-dimensional drawings, using the thrust and delineation of steel to shape the space in & around it.

Finally, to the home of fortified wines at Seppeltsfield, Lise Temple's bright, bold paintings are interpretations of the South Australian Landscape. Vineyards, rural vistas and Flinders Ranges.
