Ilona Glastonbury shortlisted in $5000 SALA art prize

Barossa artist Ilona Glastonbury has been chosen as a finalist in this year's Advertiser Business SA Contemporary art prize.

The prize of five thousand dollars is for the best new work in any medium created since last year's SALA festival.

The winner will be announced at a special awards ceremony in Adelaide on August 10th at The Advertiser offices.

The work shortlisted for this prize is titled "Wildflowers". Made from cut out pressed tin (originally used as ceiling material) it was made in response to the changing of the seasons from spring into summer last year.

Ilona will be exhibiting similar works as part of this year's Degustation Barossa art trail at Kabminye Wines.
This exhibition will be open to the public from 31 July 2010.

Kabminye Wines are open 7 days a week from 11am to 5pm.
