Ilona Glastonbury's new works at Kabminye Wines

At Kabminye for SALA again this year will be the beautifully textured works of South Australian artist Ilona Glastonbury. Inspired by the Barossan landscape, Glastonbury has created a body of works using reclaimed and weathered materials that speak of home, heritage and identity. While she predominantly uses pressed tin salvaged from old homes, recent works have included the use of old cribbage boards and farm gates.

These beautiful collages, in spite of their abstract nature, allow the (very Australian) landscape stories of their materiality to be told.

Kabminye Wines to showcase totem poles

Mark Pearse is one of those artists that everyone in South Australia has heard of. Living and working in his studio at Bungala, Yankalilla, he has been painting, print making and more particularly working with clay for many years.

Kabminye is proud to have him as one of their two exhibiting artists over the SALA Festival and for the Degustation Barossa art trail. On show will be a number of his large totem poles, set against the stunning background that is the Barossa ranges.
