The 2013 trail
This year we will be beginning the Art & Wine Trail at Artisans of Barossa, featuring 'Romantic Reverie' by Lee Teusner. Lee's paintings explore a feminine world, the space of romantic reverie that gets forgotten in real life. Glimpses of a world she makes time to be beautiful.
Following Artisans we stop at Turkey Flat Vineyards, showcasing emerging printmaker & artist Loique Allain. Loique's work focuses on the notion of place and human connection to land. In creating her work she draws on her intuition, memory and observation.
Stop number 3 is Peter Lehmann Wines, with paintings and sculpture by SA Great-Arts Award winning artist, Rod Schubert.
Out of Tanunda we head to Whistler Wines, where the gardens are adorned by Roland Weight's steel assemblage sculptures. They can be viewed as three-dimensional drawings, using the thrust and delineation of steel to shape the space in & around it.
Finally, to the home of fortified wines at Seppeltsfield, Lise Temple's bright, bold paintings are interpretations of the South Australian Landscape. Vineyards, rural vistas and Flinders Ranges.

Ilona Glastonbury's new works at Kabminye Wines
"Sketch for February thunderstorm" by Ilona Glastonbury pressed tin on boardAt Kabminye for SALA again this year will be the beautifully textured works of South Australian artist Ilona Glastonbury. Inspired by the Barossan landscape, Glastonbury has created a body of works using reclaimed and weathered materials that speak of home, heritage and identity. While she predominantly uses pressed tin salvaged from old homes, recent works have included the use of old cribbage boards and farm gates.
These beautiful collages, in spite of their abstract nature, allow the (very Australian) landscape stories of their materiality to be told.

Dragan Radocaj's Exhibition at St Hallett Wines
.jpg)
The dramatic landscape of the Barossa provides endless inspiration for Dragan.
"As artists, we all try to find our unique style to express ourselves. Personally, through my work, I seek to combine the best aspects of two mediums - the texture and colour of a painting and the detail of a photograph."
Dragan's exhibition at St Hallett Wines will feature panoramas, which were made by carefully stitching together multiple images shot in sequence. Dragan hopes that "by viewing my work, people will share my sense of wonderment at capturing a precious moment in time in the beautiful Barossa."
